iPhone has numerous applications for the fitness freaks. The Apple Company, the creator of iPhone has had a long relationship with the sports giant, Nike. They came together to design a sports kit to correspond with Apple’s iPod line. However, one can be healthy using the iPhone application, without needing external applications or features. Some of those features are given below:
1. iPump Abs and Core
This application is primarily for working the mid-section of the body. It provides exercises that concentrate on obliques, abdominals and the lower back. There are numerous graphic images which demonstrate how each exercise can be done.
2. iFitness
This application provides a list of exercises that cover the entire body. One can find the exercises listed in the same way, as their music playlist.
3. Fitness Builder
This is an application that combine fitness trainers from PumpOne and have exercises that devote the entire body. It has around 4000 videos and 400 workouts that help in getting rid of excess body weight. One of the features to look out for is the Workout Builder that allows one to create a playlist of exercises. It also has trackers which note the progress of the person and has access to calculators for the Body Mass Index.
4. Strength View
This application will help to note and every nook of building strength. There are trackers available which assists the person to note every exercise sets performed. The rest time, the frequency and the weight can also be noted by the built in trackers.
5. Get Running
As the name suggests, this is for people who like jogging for fitness. This helps one to get in the groove, especially amateurs. At times, it provides assistance to jumpstart the routine of jogging. Not only that, there is a vocal coach who can provide motivation to get started.
6. iWeight Deluxe
It does look like a function that helps one to keep a track of their weight. But, although the importance of this application may not be obvious, it is useful to have around, because it keeps one constantly aware of his/her progress.
7. Yoga STRETCH
This is useful for people who prefer yoga over running. This feature displays various yoga poses. This also included yoga instructions via an audio tape and information regarding the pose.
8. RunKeeper
It is an application for people who like sports that require colossal amount of energy such as hiking, cycling and running. It uses an internal GPS which computes the distance covered/ran.
9. Restaurant Nutrition
This is for the passive health-conscious people. The application provides a list of restaurants and the nutrition quotient in the food served.
