Acne has hundreds of medications, and it’s only some of them that works, where as others don’t. The reason being most people have different levels of acne and suffer differently. Acne occurs in a variety of ways in people. Some get light, temporary pimples for which a simple solution like benzoyl peroxide would be affective, whereas others suffer from severe, hereditary acne for which antibiotics, and birth control pills are administered. There is no stead and fast way to cure all types of acnes. The acne has to be first identified before a solution could be provided. Here we will give you a list of solutions that actually work for most common acnes, but, it is recommended that you take these with consultation from a doctor.

TETRACYCLINE

This is the first and most widely accepted antibiotic recommended for acne. Usually it is prescribed as a 500mg dosage twice a day, until the acne has reduced. Once the acne has been significantly reduced the dosage can be reduced to 250mg a day. As with every other antibiotic this shouldn’t be taken by pregnant ladies and regular people need to take this under an empty stomach.

They are three major birth control pills approved by the Food and Drug Association of the US as medications safe for acne control. These are a combination of estrogen and progestin and are administered to women who face severe acne problems:
– Ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate (ortho tri cyclen).
– Ethinyl estragiol and norethindrone (Estrostep).
– Ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone (Yaz).

For people who have thyroid related acne, there are natural medications that could be used. M.U.TENE that has Vitamin A which is a powerful antioxidant. Another natural medicine is the ARMOUR THYROID and is used specially by those who have hypothyroid or low thyroid which causes severe acne outbursts.

ACNEPRIL

Acnepril is a natural acne medication that kills bacteria and nourishes as well as strengthens your skin. The pill promises removal of acne within 72 hours of use and contains no side effects.

ACCUTANE

For severe acne Accutane is prescribed which happens to be a form of Vitamin A. It is often used when all other medications for acne has failed. The reason why this is not prescribed earlier on is that it could have life-threatening birth defects in people who are pregnant and is extremely dangerous to use without strict medical supervision.
